I'm looking to add to my battery capacity, but I'm not in a rush, I can afford to wait until sometime in July. Any guesses as to where prices are headed? Informed opinions? I'm seeing some pretty good deals right now.
Ex Tolt Demon here... Class of 76.Depends if a major Middle East war explodes in the coming weeks with nuclear weapons lob'd between Israel and Iran. Also depends on if China decides to invade Taiwan. It might depend on if the collapse of EV sales continue or if Congress decides to shut down Tik Tok.
But recent history would suggest that prices will continue down over the next few months.
My thought on good deals is if I want it, have the money and the deal is better than I would expect, to take it. Too often when I pass a real good deal by it never seems to come back around. This is different than a, "Too good to be true" deal. Those should be avoided. Risk reward ratio is lopsided.
ETA: Use to live just outside of Gold Bar up near Index on Hwy #2. Graduated from Sultan High back in the late 70's.
That seems to be what I keep telling myself, started off with enough stuff for four 24v 304ah in boxes and that turned into six, then I found two server racks that will hold four each. So eight after second order.I'm tempted by the Battero @ $55/cell (yeah I know I have freight shipping and transaction fees and whatnot). I don't know if I need more battery. I don't have all mine set up yet. But more is better right? Hm.
US government needs money to send lord knows where other than here in the US.I'm looking to add to my battery capacity, but I'm not in a rush, I can afford to wait until sometime in July. Any guesses as to where prices are headed? Informed opinions? I'm seeing some pretty good deals right now.
But NEED vs WANT?!If you need batteries now, buy them now.
Exactly, not the same thing. When prices get more appealing, want slides toward need. But NEED vs WANT?!
Gobel has them in US warehouse for $79/cell with free shipping if you don’t wanna wait/pay freightI'm tempted by the Battero @ $55/cell (yeah I know I have freight shipping and transaction fees and whatnot). If the product you are looking at happens to be USA built, chances are the price will go up.I'm looking to add to my battery capacity, but I'm not in a rush, I can afford to wait until sometime in July. I think the more pricey batteries will probably come down more so than the economy priced . . . (i.e. the higher you are the further you can fall )
