I know I’ve seen one somewhere, cannot find, been trying, a SOC chart for LFP 24v (8s), could someone direct me? (I can find plenty on 12v).

Well maybe I just want a chart don’t have time to make my own, too busy with other things right now, just thought someone had one already.

Try this one out. This only applies to new cells/batteries. The slope is the same for 12/24/48v setups.

OMG WTF seriously?

it’s easy to find all kinds of info on 12v, but difficult finding info on 24v, I just thought I missed something.
We use 12VDC as Universal BASELINE. for 24V x2 all the numbers. for 48V x4.
Ask nicely and without an "entitled" tude and you'll get lots of good FREE help.
There are many here learning, there are many teaching & sharing our experience and knowledge and none of us do it for "profit" and as such, sometimes it takes tie to get an answer... we are not paid to be here between 09:00-17:00 EST daily you know.

Unfortunately, DIY solar requires a LOT of math sometimes. Best to dig in and learn the baseline, learn the loads, and capacities, as having everything done for you costs waaay more money than learning and doing it yourself.

this forum is great to have diagrams, and learn from those that have done it, and those that are in the know!

That’s just it, I’m not in any hurry, just didn’t expect people to respond the way they have

I don’t know why people claim I’m acting entitled, this is “beginners corner” is it not? it’s just that, in learning about this, nearly everything I watch or read is in terms of 12v systems and my first system will be 24v...it’s like learning Greek in Latin terms or something like that. Ease up on me, I have a lot going on, you’ all don’t know me.

that’s what I’m looking for

I’m trying to learn this and about 10 other things at the same time, solar is not the only thing I’m working on.

I spend a lot of time on this forum trying to help beginners get their footing so they have enough info to be able to ask the real experts proper questions. As far as I can tell, everyone has provided direct, civil, and accurate responses. The only exercise left to the student is multiplying by 2. It's that straightforward.

Everything you have learned about 12V systems is valid for 24V systems. V=IR no matter what etc. All of the tools for determining wire size, fusing, voltage drop etc. are all valid for any system voltage as long as you punch in the correct numbers for your system. I recommend you watch the videos available here to cover/reinforce the basics. Please watch at least the first three.

It is because you have declared this forum unfriendly after receiving correct answers and apparently refusing to multiply 12 numbers in a table by 2. That comes across as confrontational. Yes this is beginners corner but it's where you start learning to fish, not get served the cooked meal.

Look at some other threads in beginners corner and you'll see that the members here are more than willing to patiently assist newcomers. Once posts become adversarial the help ceases. We are all happy to help you learn, you just have to meet us half way and put in some work too.

and this is not we really want to put you at work, it is just an easy check to find if you really understand what you are dealing with.
giving more complex information when we feel even the basic understanding is not met, would be at best useless, and at worst dangerous.

I see in this thread, you getting upset over incomplete information. Unfortunately most information in DIY solar is a huge learning process.
Information GIVEN needs to be learned and applied to increase your skills.
Responding to a post that says it requires math, with you dont have time for that does not make sense on this type of teaching forum.
This is not a friendly forum so far, first post and I get this?

This was your response to the first explanation that 12v or 3.2v is what is available...

You should be able to see clearly that you were the first person to complain or make an inappropriate post.

This caused others to respond to it that you might try taking the information, not making remarks about the forum help quality.

I hope you realize this and begin to enjoy the help our forum offers to our members.

Last warning.

Wow, you guys handled this well. I don't know what this guy's problem was.

After reading his first replies, I banned him. I rarely ban people, but that was horribly rude to say toward people that are trying to help him out.

It makes my blood boil when you try to help someone, and they respond with anger or say "I am too busy". I don't understand what his problem was. Anyways, thanks for the awesome replies. Making a 8S SOC voltage chart was great, thanks Jim. And other great points here as well. I will leave his messages as is because it shows how great everyone here is at responding to hostility.

I personally have an Allergy to toxicity and worse when it comes to some other things that can harm a good forum, like politics, religion and such... all nasty stuff that can kill a forum in very short order and THIS FORUM must be preserved as it is a precious resource for many people. From the small camper to the fellow who wants to cover his 5,000 square feet of roof in Power Glass ! regardless of where they are.

edit: fixed my typonese.

Funny part is this thread is full of the exact people I have to thank for helping me get from 0% knowledge to about 70% knowledge (MPPT:solarVOC relationship, benefits of 24v, those 280ah AliExpress LFP cells etc.) needed for my system in only two weeks...
