Adding a second inverter to a power panel that was a single set up when I bought it. While wiring the AC disconnect box, I've found that there are 'service crimps' in the manual and on my original one, but the second breaker that I found for it didn't come with them. Sort of like a split bolt clamp- but not. Running 6 gauge wire in them. This is in a Trace Xantrex disconnect on an integrated power panel. The breaker has a few lines coming in at different spots for the generator/grid tie ins. I just need a generator, but there are still 3 or 4 of them absent. If anybody knows where I can find these, or if you know what they're called, let me know, please. Thanks, LeeIMG_0328.jpgIMG_0347.jpgIMG_0348.jpg

Homedepot has these

Thanks! But it's way too small for a ground rod clamp. It's only 5/16" 'thick', 7/16" wide and 11/16" tall (minus the screw). As one picture shows, it will fit between the breaker fins at the wire connection point. It's pretty tiny. But I will definitely check Home Depot, although the nearest one is 30 miles north. Maybe they've got them at Lowe's, too. That's only 8 miles away. I haven't checked in with the two Electrical supply stores yet, but they've been batting 0 per the breakers I needed.

Yeah it's not a ground rod clamp. But I have see them at home depot near the crimps section. I think they are for stacking ground wires in a panel. Sorry no idea what they are called. You might be able to make one by smashing the ground rod ones if they don't have them

Some of those are specific to a particular breaker, I have had to go buy a breaker just to fix a job, What brand breaker is that , guessing Square D..QO line

I can’t think of anything useful, but I may try something like this.??

Measure how thick the metal is, get a copper pipe with a metal wall that thick, and an outside diameter about half to 3/4 the thickness, put it in one of my hexagonal dies to get a hex shape, than put it in a press to see if it flattens to that shape. If it does I’d drill a hole and then tap for a copper screw. I‘d then tin it in nickel for corrosion control.

I have a hex die set and nickel tinning, but I don’t have a press or copper pipe. Also not my money I’m spending.

That was not a guess.....Schneider Electric bought Square D and it is a wholly owned subsiderart of Schneider Electric

far easier to go to a electrical supplier and buy another Square D QO line breaker......even Home Cheepo has them

These are not Square D homeline....they are if fact Square D QO line breakers...

Less than $20 and your U.L. Listing is maintained

Mickey mouse it and burn down your house you have just given your insurance company a way out

Have only seen these Siamese lugs, which can allow two conductors to be connected to a single terminal (like, a breaker), and apparently have NRTL labs', and local AHJs buy-in.

These have been used on Schnneider (and, perhaps Trace) Inverter bypass triple sets of QOU breakers.

Have never know what they were called, but Burndy might be a good lead.

Wait, these are on a circuit breaker? Replace the entire breaker! Life is to short for bs.

These breakers are made by Schneider electric’s Square D division the breaker is made in 3 basic mounting schemes

QO......found in panels and main boards

QOB.....found in panel boards (bolt on buss) (commercial distribution panels)

QOU.....found in Trace and Schneider panels for solar boxes as well as industrial equiptment

The basic breaker is identical

The clamp from the relatively inexpensive breaker QO breaker will fit the QOU breaker

Look at a QO250 or QO270 breaker, it will have that clamp......

been there, done that....

The QO250 is commonly used for home ranges
The QO270 is commonly used for home air conditioner

The clamp from these will fit a QOU breaker

The QOU are an electrical supply house item only, will not be commonly available

QO breaker two pole $20
QOU breaker two pole $70-120

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this is in a Trace-Xantrex AC Disconnect. This is how they came from the factory, and they were designed by electrical engineers. I found something close at Lowe's yesterday. Had to cut off a small angle with a bolt hole, but it will work. The thickness is a tad too much, but I'm going to try sanding them down to fit between the fins. The original one slides right in them. Thanks for the tip on Burndy, too. I even searched McMaster-Carr and couldn't find anything but ground rod clamps.
