That's good to know.2000 watt will run virtually anything that plugs into a normal 5-15 outlet. Even the power tools.
What are "the terminals"? Battery terminals/posts? Bus bar? other?inverter directly the terminals
Battery posts. I do not have bus bars but should probably get a couple. What are "the terminals"? Battery terminals/posts? Bus bar? other?
Happen to have a pic?
My only concern/question is about how many connectors you will have on each post? ...its sounding like you need bus bars if its more than 2.Battery posts.
Yes. I'm going to see what's available here in Quartzsite. There are a couple solar businesses. My only concern/question is about how many connectors you will have on each post? ...its sounding like you need bus bars if its more than 2.
That is correct. The solar may even produce/contribute more power when loaded with the inverter. So if I simply connect the inverter directly the terminals (the same ones the charger is connected to) it will not disturb/hinder the charger nor it's ability to charge from the panels while I'm running the inverter?
Sorry if these questions seem dumb but I'm not at all versed in electrical applications and am forced by economics to diy this.
Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. That is correct. The solar may even produce/contribute more power when loaded with the inverter.
Where the batteries are connected, from how i am envisioning what i cannot see, looks like a good spot for improvements. This is a good spot for a bus bar though it should be treated with NOLOX or something since it looks pretty exposed to weather (salt and water?).Yes. The trailer has spent most of it's life in western Oregon and Washington close to the ocean. I'm going to have to get something else to mount the batteries in because they are too long for those boxes. I'm going to install the inverter close to the charger under the sink and run cable out to the batteries through the same opening the charger uses so it will be inside.Where the batteries are connected, from how i am envisioning what i cannot see, looks like a good spot for improvements. Its not hideous as is and I'd probably connect inverter there temporarily until suitable fix was acquired.
