DIY 'Chargenectifier'

One other nice feature is they accept DC as input.

You may want to expand on that statement before people start buying these based on your comment and don't have the minimum 250VDC required...... see second screen shot below. :)

These have a bridge rectifier of some sort. Running in DC means all the current goes through half of it. Derate accordingly like a grown adult ? . The double DC voltage compensates.

Or open it up and bypass the rectifier.

Oh! good find for the 2000w unit.
My only personal experiment in DC is with a RSP-500 I use as DC-DC converter inside my EV with a 180V nominal battery (165-195Vdc) since a decade.
Seem like the 1000w and 500w unit have the same DC input voltage of 127-370Vdc.
I'm now tempt to connect a RSP directly to my PV array ?

Ummm! I was joking about this, but I have a meanwell HLG-320H laying around because I end never use it as DC-DC converter for my Vanabolt (360V battery to 12V).
Soooo... do someone see, based on spec sheet, that it's clear those unit will not work when hook to a PV array?

My PV voltage is always around 165-185V (4 panels) and the HLG-320H is rated 127-431Vdc.

This one (3kW R48-3000e3) allows you to pick the output voltage and comes with an adapter board:

Under €100 including shipping.
Well this may be way easier than I thought... The seller stated this will accept 120vac input. I asked for clarity 1 more time, I'll likely order tonight if I'm awake when they reply.

Thank you upNorth for your personal help and advice on this. ??

Yeah, make sure it accepts 120V for sure. I've not looked into that, but it looks not to be the case from the label. I'm planning on getting a couple of them myself.
Keep us informed how it goes!

Actually does anyone know of a telecom recycler, there's probably thousands of these things getting trashed in this country every day. I had a kid local to me selling reclaimed batteries from old cell towers.
If I can find his contact info again I'm going to ping him about this.

Would this work too? I have a bigger generator... (I also asked seller for clarity.)

I'm glad the seller knows the product they are selling and honest in replies...

I also found this from another seller.
