Terrible Signature Solar / EG4 18Kpv Experience - Returning and Replaced with Sol-Ark 15k

I’ve often wondered the same thing. I’m in Northern Nevada and did the same, paid off our home in 2020 when I was 34 and welcoming our child into the world. Never want him to know what debt is.

Our power bill is half what you’re dealing with, but it’s to a point I can’t imagine how most can do it.

I have multiple friends that will literally not go to dinner because they can’t afford it etc. It’s a wild time.
Do they tell you what's changing in every firmware update? That is a lot of updating.

Keep believing that if it makes you feel happy. I know Sol-Ark is doing a firmware update about once every 3-4 weeks.
When last has Deye come out with a Firmware update and how many have they released?
Sunsynk ?
Was updated about a week ago, and a month before that..
Deye about at the same pace..

Again..what ever floats your boat...

I haven't seen an update to this page since it went live...I think in March or so. My setup still has the same 15K master & comm MCU firmware versions I commissioned my system with at the end of January. Are they just not updating their page?

EDIT: Just requested an update. Let's see where this goes. ?

In CA they just raised rates again June ; previously was a high of about .48c kwh. Now up another 20 percent. Going with two EG4 2 ton A/C mini split hybrids. Will be wiring up another 2500w of panels to each one of those. Should reduce the demand from my existing grid-tie system dramatically. Supposedly going to .62c kwh 2024 from what I have heard. I honestly don't know how the middle-class is going to deal with this in California. I'm a business owner and saver, we paid off our modest home years ago when I turned 40. I can afford to make these investments to give the power company the finger, but most cannot.

1700 square foot home, family of 8, no central a/c. Only window a/c in bedrooms and swamp cooler. Charging a Tesla after hours. $650 bill last month. Existing solar produces 55kwh per day.
Just got my 18kpv installed and up an running. Signature solar has always been very helpful to me. All most all my stuff is from them. Finally figured out how to work everything. Not to get to factual here. Its all Planned Controlled Collapse. Watch the World Economic Forum Stuff, Get prepared. Smart meters are for Spying on energy usage, knows when your home, etc. it's all about centralized control. Solar is a great way to get off grid, or take away there ability to see what your doing at least, and if your on a net meter plan in one of those high tier places sell back and take full advantage of it during peak hours .
My smart meter puts out its own wifi signal. Does anyone else notice the wifi signal?

UPDATE:

A week after the inverter was returned I received most of the money back. Seemingly they decided to keep $43.27 and 100% of the sales tax associated with the order.

It appears they charged their own tax rate of ~6.45% based on the math, equating to $438.15.

So, after all that, I’ve currently been shorted ~$481. Which equates to a 10% shortage, or “restocking fee” if you look at it that way.

The thread is locked. I hope you all have a better experience!

It would seem that these two do not compute

Yeah, it’s hard to not be upset at this point, or even turn it into making jokes. Seriously though, I shouldn’t have to turn to posting about this and have them eventually see it and form whatever excuse there is.

It’s simple math, hard to get it wrong in the age of computers. Almost as though someone intentionally did it…

I appreciate your response, and again I sincerely wish I was still using the inverter. I really liked the unit, and hope to have one in the future as bugs are worked out.

What kills me is the Sognature Solar experience. From start to finish it’s essentially been an issue every step of the way.

On the refund side of things I was assured multiple times I’d be receiving a full refund, then of course when it comes down to it, another “mistake”. The inquisitive part of me wonders how anyone in their organization would have done any form of math that came up with the refund they sent. And, had I not said anything, that simply would have been the end of it.

Bums me out, but at the end of the day, I hope I’m somehow an outlier of a case and I somehow had the worst all around experience any customer has ever had. Hopefully they’ll reflect on the entirety of the situation and put policies and procedures in place to ensure everyone else has as seamless of an experience as possible.

Constructive community issue solving, based on a constructive and in depth write up..

Well done to all

What dye inverter?

I have 27,770kw in PV, and 4- 6500ex and one keeps giving me problems.. I don't want the 18k because i need more than 12k of AC output. And i want to use all my PV.
