    Eg4 6000xp solar inputs

I'm confused on the solar inputs on the eg4 6000xp. Can each mppt handle 17 amps? Someone from sig solar told me it was 17 per input and someone else told me it was combined.

Very frustrated with Signature solar return department.

Just updating my post. I did get refunded from sig solar for my inverter that went bad. Thanks @SignatureSolarJess for your help.

    Eg4 6000xp settings

I have the new Eg4 6000xp installed and running great. One thing I can't figure out is how to have the solar power offset the load when in grid mode. On other eg4 inverters you can have the grid powering the load but also have any excess solar offset the load. Is there a way to do this on this...

    Eg4 6000xp cutt-off settings

Just got the eg4 6000xp and want it to switch to the grid when my batteries hit 20% and back to batteries once the hit 60%. I'm a little confused on what the manual says. Are the settings for this the : Off-grid cut off Soc and On grid EOD SOC%? And which setting is which?

Eg4 6000xp split phase app data

I just installed the eg4 6000xp and have the app running as well as solar assistant. I can't see a place where it shows the load for each leg, I only see a combined output. Does anyone know where I can see that data?

Eg4 6000xp with protran transfer switch

Interesting, so using a transfer switch gives you the same neutral ground bond that you would get if you used an ac input to the inverter?

Eg4 6000xp with protran transfer switch

I'm using the eg4 6000xp with a pro tran transfer switch that is connected to 10 circuits on my main home panels. I don't have grid input going into my inverter. My understanding of using a transfer switch means that the system becomes bonded because of the use of the transfer switch because the...

    EG4 6000XP Solar Assistant MPPT 3?

Could you explain real quick how you connected sa to your inverter?

    Help with eg4 6000xp

Just got the new Eg4 6000xp. Using it with three lifepower4 batteries. I have a couple questions on the setup. 1- I connected everything up and turned it on, but the inverter is not outputting power. I have chosen the right battery in setting 3 but still can't get it to output power. Do I need...

Very frustrated with Signature solar return department.

I recently had to return an inverter to signature solar. Since they were no longer selling my inverter I asked them if I could purchase a new model and just have them refund my credit card once they received my old inverter. They said this would not be a problem so I went ahead and ordered a new...

    EG4 6000ex bonding question

Does the eg4 6000ex have an internal neutral/ground bonding relay to bond and unbond depepend on you being in bypass mode or inverter mode? Signature solar told me it does, but the manual does not say anything about it.

    EG4 6000EX Ground / Neutral Bond Location

Maybe this has already been answered, but I have a similar setup and the following is an email I got from sig solar when I asked about this. There's an internal bond that is set on a relay that pretty much only operates when the inverter is in use. When the inverter itself switches to...

    EG4 3000EHV Neutral Bond Grounding

Can you tell me what page in the manual it states that there is an internal switch for neutral and ground? I don't see that I'm my manual

    EG4 6000EX BMS communication

Just installed the eg4 6000 ex with eg4 batteries. Installed communication cables from batteries to inverter, and verified with signature solar that the bms is talking to the inverter. The problem is that some settings should have switched from battery voltage to battery percentage. They didn't...

    Split phase inverters

I'm sure this answer is here somewhere, but can someone explain to me how the ac input works on a split phase inverter? I ussume you would have to feed 240v into right? And if you paralell two 120v inverters to get 240 at the breaker box, do you have to supply each inverter with 120 from the grid?

    Bulk/Absorbtion charge

So I'm new to the solar thing. I keep seeing batteries that specify a bulk or absorbtion charge voltage. I have a renogy charge controller and I don't see either of these names in the profile settings.

    Spartan automatic transfer switch

4 battleborn batteries with 3000 watt inverter. Trying to cool a shed with a 1200 watt window ac. Tranfer switch will be a backup if batteries get too low.

    High voltage solar charge controller

There may be. Right now it is being stored at a friend's house.

    Spartan automatic transfer switch

So would it work to figure out what percentage the voltage is dropping and then set the cutoff for that percentage lower than what I want the real voltage to be? Hope that makes sense.

    High voltage solar charge controller

I'm not sure the make or model. It was given to me because some of the glass was broken but it still seems to work fine.

    High voltage solar charge controller

I have a 400 watt solar panel that I want to use but the open circuit voltage is over 200. Anyone know of a cheaper charge controller that could handle this voltage?

    Spartan automatic transfer switch

I'm using the spartan transfer switch from Wills videos to keep my batteries from going to low. The problem is that whenever a large load is put on my inverter it drops the voltage below my cutoff point and switches to grid power. As soon as the load goes off the voltage goes back up. How do I...
