charging lithium battery packs (18650 cells)

Okay, I have a number of questions concerning the safety of charging my DIY 18650 battery packs. 1. for a 2s battery pack, 8.4 volts, 3000 mah (total of 2 cells), is it okay to charge it with a 'compact power adapter' that I found while cleaning out the basement. I think it went to a...

Any experience with the sure power 1314-a or 1314-200 battery isolator (separator)

I've been using the 1314a to isolate the starter battery (lead acid) from my house batteries (lifepo4), but that part of the system was installed prior to my switching to lifepo.. so I'm now worried that maybe I'm not sufficiently protecting the lifepo or the lead acid. I can see that the...

200 amp rated bus bars... can i double up on the included stock bbs?

So I'm reconfiguring my battery to build it up as a 2p4s 560ah total... I will have loads of up to nearly 200 amps (I'm using the Radio B tech 4s 200 amp BMS), but I'm just now realizing/suspecting that the standard bus bars that come with the battery cells (ninthcit 280 ah, in my case) are not...

Is it okay to use the BMS for upper voltage cutoff?

My alternator charges my 12v 4s 280 amp hour pack up to 14.2v. While that seems reasonable, I'd prefer to top it out at 13.9, so I set those parameters on my overkill BMS. Now the BMS kills the incoming current when the pack hits 13.9. Seems to be working great! But... I just read in...

2 identical batteries in parallel, but unequal discharge?

So, I'm not sure what's going on here... I built up 2 separate batteries, each one with brand new 3.2v 280 amp hour lifepo4 prismatic cells, 4s configuration, using an overkill BMS on each. Then the two batteries are in parallel to the positive and negative bus. Everything seems great except...
