does anyone have any experience with 400 watt panels on an rv? im wondering if the unsupported span of the glass can handle bouncing down the road because of the large surface area.

the engineering charts say its theoretically possible to lift 33 but no pump on earth can do it. thats regarding suction not pumping vertically.

i thought it was impossible to lift water more than 30 feet or something? oh im thinking suction. i guess if the pump was submerged it could pump vertically.

what if you let the under hood generator charge the agm and keep it separate from the lithium system then run the dc/dc/mppt off the regular cars alternator then have a transfer switch to determine which battery bank your drawing from?

i use a 19v 4.5 amp laptop charger to charge my lifepo mobile bank in the winter. it runs through a victron charge controller that allows me to set the max charge amperage at 4 amps. if i dont change that setting the charger cannot keep up and glitches out.

i know they are 26650's 4s30p but i would love to see a teardown on one

yes. the momentary button on the left is for the pre charge through the resistor. my inverter came DOA so i havent had a chance to try my pre charge theory yet

update. i put a clamp meter on the alternator and its pulling 64 amps at idle with the lights, heater fan, rear window defrost, and dc/dc charger. 41 amps minus the defrost and 40amps with everthing on except the defrost. so the charger has the same demand as the rear window defrost on my subaru...

if i reduce the pulley size on my subaru alternator to gain more amps at lower rpm for a dc/dc charger do i risk damage to my cars computer or electrical sys?

i did the same thing on a portable bank i have to protect the scc in the event of bms failure and when the battery protect shuts down (set to 12.5v) i have to jumper the relay to start the charge cycle. maybe you could install a switch to control the jumper?

I see. There is an on/off switch on the inverter what if it was turned off for a period of time, would i have to precharge before turning the inverter back on?
