    Unfortunately not.

    Fix or discard?

Forgot to say, Playstore doesn't seem to have that particular reader. EDIT: My phone is too old for that app, I'll try my tablet :) EDIT: Jingman Sept 2021 not a lot of info :-(

    Fix or discard?

Thanks for the pointers. It will supposedly be in my hands before Xmas, but I seriously doubt that. I will try to not make smoke ;-)

All I get is strings of numbers from the QR code reader online.

    Fix or discard?

Thanks for that link, I just ordered one from ebay, looks identical, shorter delivery time.

    Fix or discard?

I don't have the gear to fix it, but as stated above, I would be happy to buy a power supply, and happy to have a reduced Ah battery. I haven't been able to identify the cells as yet as they are stuck together very well, and no visible markings on the outside of the pack other than a couple of...

    Fix or discard?

Thanks for that suggestion, might save a bit of soldering. I don't have a variable power supply to charge from. I was hoping that the faulty cell would be down on voltage slightly, compared to its neighbours........ not the case? I can get a power supply from ebay for $100, so it would be worth...

    Fix or discard?

After a successful warranty claim, I am left with a near new 135Ah 12V LiFePO4 battery that has, I'm guessing, a single faulty cell. Three of the four banks of nine cells are at 3.34V, but the remaining bank is at 2.89V. This is after about 6 weeks of trying to balance the pack by slow...

    Digi Marker Lithium

I bought a Digi Marker battery from their Australian ebay store back in June. It seemed to be O.K. for a while other than some voltage spiking when it was not under load, but getting a charge form the solar panels. On our second trip away, the battery cut out in the middle of the night for no...

    Charging time vs bulk voltage

Thanks for that info. These things are rarely as simple as they seem, so to verify, the 4% of 135AH would be around 5.5AH, which at 12A would be bit less than half an hour, or is there more to it? (brand new battery so hoping the cells are in good cond.)

    Charging time vs bulk voltage

Roughly what would the bulk charging time difference be between charging at (to?) 14.2V and charging at 14.6V? This is a 135AH 12V LiFePO4 charging from MPPT solar controller. Assuming an average charge current of say 12 amps, would we be talking minutes or hours difference?

I'll settle for that for now and hope it all goes well. Thanks to all for your input, much appreciated. :-)

That is very close to what my DC-DC charger comes set at. (Bulk 14.4, Absorption 14.0) The battery manufacturer specifies 14.6V charge, but for the sake of longevity, lower is my pick. They also do not specify any absorption figure for some reason. I read somewhere that lowering the bulk to a...

That is how I understand it to be. So if the battery voltage reached during the bulk stage is for example 13.8, what should the voltage applied during the absorption stage be, and for approx. how long? (135AH battery)

No wonder I am confused. If BULK is stage one, and ABSORPTION is stage 2, then what does the following mean? (It is a quote lifted from another thread on this forum) ""When talking about charge voltage: Boost = Absorption = Bulk The three are used interchangeably to mean the voltage at which...

I think so. If, as most people say, BOOST = BULK = ABSORPTION, then it should not be a timed function surely? Am I correct in thinking that the only stage that should be timed is constant voltage?

@Ampster I have a good understanding of the charging process for a 12 volt LiFePO4 battery, but the issue is the terminology used on my "Not a.c." Solar Charge Controller. You said, "To answer the question of @PhillT about which setting would set Constant Current just look at the value in the...

IRondo, going back to my original post, which of the available settings would set the voltage of constant current?

If so, what do you think the BOOST voltage is? C.V. and FLOAT both have their own individual settings, but you are suggesting that FLOAT & C.V. are one & the same? This is doing my head in :-( I am starting to wish I had stuck with A.G.M. L.O.L.

O.K. Cheers. Thanks for pointing out that those 4 parameters apply only to the load port. That makes sense, but I am not using the load port so can safely ignore them. The link you asked for: (it muddied the waters further for me, good luck ;-) )...

I am thinking now that what they call "Constant Voltage" is the trigger voltage that stops the C.C. (1st. charging phase), and starts C.V. (2nd charging phase). The term they are using for this second phase is "Boost Voltage" which has a timer function which ties in with my understanding of...

Hi, first post here, and new to the LiFePo4 world, but learning day by day. I have replaced the AGM in my caravan (trailer) with a 135AH 12V LiFePo4, and in setting up and trouble shooting the biggest hurdle I am encountering is the seemingly inconsistent terminology used by manufacturers and...
