Its the pylontech protocol. Go to github and search for "pylontech". You will find some libraries there. As an alternative, connect the battery to some inverter or power manager (e.g. Victron Cerbo). The inverter / power manager will give you indirect access to the battery info e.g. via modbus-tcp.

i had the same problem. The software seems to only work in an English language environment in Windows. So in Windows control panel change the language and locale to "English(US)". Then restart and the problem is gone.

these are settings that go into the inverter. Normally the BMS tells its status to the inverter. The inverter then decides what it wants to do. The limits in the BMS act as some sort of safety-net, if the inverter tries stupid things. The inverter is supposed to normally not reach these limits...

Hi Dexter, the BMS reports the "Full Charge Voltage" via CAN as 56V. Victron seems to use this 56V as a maximum charge voltage and never go higher. As a result i suspect the battery will never balance as per datasheet it wants >57.6V for that. Is that the case? What is the recommended fix?

O.k. with this pinout, i can connect to the battery and read all status, etc. However when i try to change the protocol to Pylon-CAN, i get "write error". The protcol display says "paceic".
