I recently picked up a 4A NEEY balancer and set it up... noticed the change password setting, that sounds like a good idea...punched in new (first?) password, failed. Is it possible to add a password to the NEEY 4A? I'm using the EnerKey iOS app.

The little 12v battery i s still struggling to recharge, darn winter weather...but it's getting there! All 4 cells are staying within 1-3 mV of each other so far with no balancing yet. The 48v LifePower4 battery however was not working out as well. 1 cell was always low and I was seeing...

So I went to move my new MPP 3048 and this 1" thin piece of plastic was rattling around inside. Not sure where it goes but maybe someone here has torn one down and can tell me? It doesn't look broken so suspect it's an insulator of some kind that pressure fits somewhere?

Santa tossed in 4 EVE LF304's in my stocking, along with an antigravity generator evidently... Wanted a clean 12v build from the 4 EVE batteries so used a SFK kit. Went together pretty easily but wiring those terminals can be a PITA...had wires too long and just not enough room to fold them...

I went with 4.5nm, nothing broke. Where's the sun?

I see the spec listed on EVE documents is 6 Nm for the cell terminal, but nothing specific to the bolt-on terminal.

What torque should be used for the EVE LF304 with the new dual bolt matte finish welded terminals? Am putting together a 4 cell 12v, waiting on some proper lugs for wiring the BMS so just have them at about 4nm right now for testing. I did some searching but wasn't clear what these terminals...

Have requested the spreadsheet for my cells I ordered. I got the cells in good condition quickly but they don't appear to be very good at follow-up/communication. I think I've contacted them 3-4 times so far, and still no E-mail or anything in regards to the spreadsheet they claim they will...

Santa said to order a 48v battery and an All-in-One to make a portable setup...sooo, ordered a LifePower4 rack battery and an MPP-3048, now just need to get some wire and lugs and get this thing planned out...thinking of a small combiner box for 2-4 PV inputs for later possible additional power...

Got a SmartShunt so I know which way the electrons are moving on my copper racetrack...added temp sensor too since this is in the garage. This is totally up to code and completely inspected....totally!

Going down mountain roads with regen is bliss. Beyond getting power back you don't have that coasting faster faster faster, braaaaake.....coast faster faster faster, braaaaake....just modulate pedal and enjoy the regen power gain, nice and smooth... And of course no brake pad wear. I'm over...

It's quite astonishing how many do not have low temp cutoff. A simple NTC thermistor is so freak'n cheap that it's gotta just be laziness and lack of understanding, which is scary...

4 panels up! Tilt adjusted to 34 degrees or so, 31.8 would be year round optimal but didn't like how the support geometry was working past this tilt. Fence holding, so far.

If you're looking on Amazon the BougeRV stuff seems decent and they offer 12/10/8 AWG without connectors, connector one end and crimp your own included or connectors on both ends. Cable is actual PV wire, can't comment on connector quality yet. Strands are tinned copper. Happy so far with mine.

Got the other panels in so ready to figure out the mounting. Gonna do the low profile unistrut on the fence face to get a relatively flat surface for the mounts and it'll allow me to position them anywhere along the strut... Getting the supplies ready while waiting for the helpers to come...

Parallel into 3 to 1 combiners? Mixing panels of varying Voc/Isc ratings can greatly impact performance, heres one of many videos on this: Having pictures of the rear labels is handy to have on hand for planning changes etc, always good to keep that info handy.

I'm using Victron VRM with a Raspberry Pi 2 I had laying around...but only connected to the charge controller 'cause my solar funds have run out for now so no shunt or decent inverter. I may pickup an AIO like an MPP once I get some funds to move make the move to 48v.
