Thank you :) I’ve managed to change it to 280 using the IPhone app :) the battery has charged and discharged fully a couple of times so I’m not sure why it didn’t adjust automatically. The iPhone app was much easier to use and connected via Bluetooth quickly.

I’ve had a response on my G99. Can I just check that the limit would be on the export to the grid? I know that the household usage is regularly around 5kw so keen to ensure I can draw that much from the battery. I really don’t want to export anything at all.

Yep it was definitely my fault. Fixed with a helicoil kit and all built now :)

It is indeed the Blue Sea systems m6006 switch. There’s also an internal fuse on the Seplos Mason as well.

I appreciate the input. Now is a good time for me to get it right as nothing is currently installed.

Ok, so I purchased the Mason kit, inverter and the AC / DC isolators from a company based in the UK. I’m wondering if I need to go back to them and suggest that the DC isolator isn’t the correct one. I thought I had got my head around the DIY install quite well but I’m not so sure now :(

Are you sure? I’m just checking as it says 48v on the switch and the Seplos is also 48v isn’t it? If it’s not right I’ll obviously go back to the company who supplied it with the Seplos mason kit. I’m pretty sure it’s this one.

Did you get your G99 application over to your dno? I’m just trying to work out if I can go down the G98 route with export limited to 3.68kwh. I don’t plan to export anything at all so not worried about it being limited.

I’ve had a look at a few forums and it doesn’t seem possible to extract the existing stud. Most people seem to file it down to the top of the terminal and then drill it out. I was hoping it was screwed in and could be unscrewed easily but that doesn’t seem to be the case :(

I’ve had a chat to him and he seemed happy for me to send it back to him for him to fix or to fix myself. I’m thinking of having a go at fixing it myself though. I have access to a pillar drill so thinking of buying a helicoil kit and giving it a go. Let me know how you get on.

That’s interesting. I’ve raised it with Gav at Lynx who I bought the battery from. He’s been excellent so far and happy to hop on calls to assist me so hoping it gets worked out. He was recommended on a few FB groups so I went down the word of mouth route and bought from him.

Yep broke about a third of the way up. I’m currently watching videos showing repairs but I think it’s going to be easier to just grab a new cell (unless I can find a local company with all the kit needed)

Mine didn’t come from Fogstar but it was a UK distributor so I’ve contacted them to see if I can get a cell sorted.

You’re absolutely right. I’ve just gone out to the garage again and I can hear the faintest click. It’s definitely user error :( So I don’t think I have the tools to replace the terminal from the quick search I did on YouTube. Wondering if it’s going to be a case of ordering a new cell.
