I've been testing my build for 2 weeks and am more than pleased with the outcome. My 1986 Scamp now features a 160 watt flexible panel and a 12v/120Ah battery which I built, guided by Will's videos. It performs fabulously well. The Waeco/Dometic refrigerator, furnace fan and LED lights seem to make only the slightest dent in capacity.
The battery and most components fit easily under the front seat hold with room to spare. The entire assembly must weigh but 1/3 of the lead acid battery formerly resting on the tongue. Next up: a trip into the Chiracahua National Monument.
