I have a grid tied sol-ark 12k and my current array will max it out at 9kw. What would be the best priced quality grid tie inverter that I can AC couple? This will be the cheapest way for me to expand my pv array in the future. Not looking for something super expensive or too cheap. Just an inverter that is reliable that I can run through the sol-ark. Will only be about 4k array added later.

Microinverters would be the simplest way to AC Couple to the Sol-Ark 12K. I'm thinking Enphase or Hoymiles. As far as best price, you would have to compare microinverters to something like a UL1741SB compliant Growatt.

Growatt min tl x and tl xh us inverters are the best value right now and work excellently for ac coupling.

The 7.6kw model is $1000

Used Sunny Boy

Newer models have Rule-21, can do frequency-watts.
Older model doesn't (can be set to off-grid with similar)
But behind gen port relay, can switch on/off and SolArk ramps DC coupled PV up and down.

I try to pay $0.10/W

This. I chose the 11k us to AC couple, but any of them should bebgreat
