Battery Monitor Connection Question

I have a new Renogy 500A monitor I am installing, along with a Renogy 40A MPPT controller, a 2000W inverter, flooded LA batteries, and 250W solar panels.

I've installed all system negatives to the P- of the monitor shunt per the install manual.

My question is: Do I also connect the negative wire from the solar panel to the P- of the monitor shunt?
Or, do I connect the negative wire from the solar panel to the PV- of the 40A MPPT SCC?

DO NOT connect the pv to the shunt.

Connect the PV - to the - PV input of the controller.
