Started to post on a lawn forum, but people here might be more apt to know about this.
EGO 56v lawn care system lithiom ion battery, trying to easily measure voltage as I have 4 batteries with no guage on them. I bought this off ebay for *ease*. More below:
What does NOT work:
Volt meter prongs are too big to reach the +/- metal in the slots on Ego battery.
Shove a paper clip into the + on Ego, shove another paper clip into the - on Ego, read with volt meter. Nothing
Connect ebay connector the correct way and check voltage on output wires. Nothing
What works: Lay the ebay connector ON TOP of the Ego slots so the metal is resting on top of the the +/- of the ego battery leads (not slotted in properly), touch volt meter leads to exposed metal ebay connector. Get a correct reading.
What am I missing here do you think? Of course one thing, the connector I bought could be bad.
Thanks
