Anybody know if I can install an EP Cube gateway with grid in-out wired & then actually operate it as a pass-thru for grid power before battery & inverter (s) are installed and system commissioned? Looking like I will be ordering an EP Cube w/2 inverters and 39.6KWH of batteries on Monday, before the Signature Solar sale ends. I guess it would always be possible to just mount it, pull the wires in, connect them w/lugs, and just use the gateway as a junction box. The problem is I have to move an existing A/C condensing unit and pour a new slab to mount the EP Cube batteries, inverters, and relocated new 4TR heat pump condensing unit. It would be nice to have the 200A gateway grid circuit breaker in the circuit but if I can't, then the lugs will have to do.
