EU battery passport regulations

It's not a bad thing. It allows for real data on lifetime of the battery in all kinds of conditions, can help the recycling/reuse of them, and can help prevent the use of conflict minerals and others. Will it be perfect, of course not - but it's not just a purely bureaucratic exercise.

Seems it may not apply to storage, depending on what they mean by industrial?

"According to the Battery Regulation update, every industrial or electric vehicle (EV) battery on the EU market with a capacity of over 2 kWh will require a battery passport."
