Sunny side up please.
My panels can be between 0 and 6 inches from my gutters to meet AHJ rules.
This makes for a number of issues:
- 0 safe room to clean gutters - fixed by gutter guards.
- sheets of snow and / or ice sliding off panels fast - dangerous for people under roof.
- water leaking between panels and freezing on the colder roof below - ice damming under panels - damaging things
- ice damming in gutters. - roof melt rope to go in gutters to address this.
I was also considering clipping melt wire under the panel around the outer edge to create an opening on the panels to expose the black to start solar heat melting.
Anyone with experience and thoughts.
