How do post a high resolution image?

When adding an attachment to the forum its resolution is reduced to limit storage requirements.
A workaround for this limitation is to use an image hosting service. There are several to choose from & each has its pros & cons.
I use Imgur. I can upload an image or several & insert a url between the image tags & even construct a link that displays the image & links back to its album where the users can view all the images in an Imgur album.
