How to locate short in wiring in wall

I have an off grid cabin built in 1900 and probably wired in the 80’s (generator, now solar) and I think the chipmunks have gnawed wires in wall behind pine tongue and groove paneling. I know approximately where the short is. Are there any inexpensive tracers that will locate a shorted wire? The short trips the breaker between two receptacles.

I think I'd figure out how to get a new wire in there .... and it sounds like you might need to put it in conduit.
