I'm making a portable battery cart, can I tie the charger/converter and the inverter chassis to negative buss?

Hi All,

I'm making a portable battery cart, can I tie the charger/converter and the inverter chassis' to my negative buss?

Or, am I better off just tying the 2 components together on the case grounds?

I've seen this question posed many ways, just not an answer that will work for me. This is to bring my batteries to wherever I need them when my grid is down. I will be adding panels in a year, but for now I'm just charging the batteries with the inverter/charger.

Bump. Anybody know the answer? I know many have built similar carts but can't find out how/if they ground the inverter and/or charger/converter chassis'?
