How much damage does it cause LiFePO4 cells to briefly overcharge them to 4V per cell? By briefly I mean for just a few mins before the voltage was brought back down to below 3.6v/cell.

You have reduced the life cycle of those cells by 12.6 days.

Seriously, nobody can tell you the scope of the damage, if any. Overcharging is bad, but if you caught it quick it likely won't matter.
 
Not sure, but what I can tell you is that overcharging and over-discharging are more harmful and may shorten battery life/reduce battery capacity/or cause bulging. But it seems like you've caught the problem the first time, so... do you think it never happened? Your battery is still a good boy. LOL.
