it has been studied,
the solution involved directional drilling into areas below large lakes, where the perafrost was significanly thinner/shallower.
Was a big item to get done in a remote locale.
 
It must be placed horizontal in a trench with continuous drip irrigation.
 
We are all laughing, but ive read studies where solar particles cause thousands of volts in certain areas on the moon. Nigh zero moisture will make grounding to shed those electrons... metoric...
