Mixing batteries (DIY + Preassembled)

Hello. I have a 48v system using Deye 8kw hybrid and a DIY Eve 280ah with JK-BMS.

I want to add another bank for more storage and there are now preassembled systems in my area. I saw a same 280ah Higee battery bank with a smart daly BMS. (Looks better btw compared to my assembled Eve)

Question is, any issues with connecting these in parallel? I would not be connecting their communication lines, just the basic voltage based charge/discharge signals.

Im in an offgrid setup nowadays and the existing system could only last me until around 4am

Seems pretty standard, all the cool kids are doing it.

You'll likely get better and more consistent behavior if you configure your JK as close to the new battery as it will function with your charge settings.

Lifep04 batteries OF THE SAME ACTUAL voltage in parallel is fine. Most lifepo4 batteries are 16 cells. Cheaper ones may be 15 cells. They have to be the same.
