I am putting together a new system based on a NiFe battery bank, which raises some questions that I am having difficulty finding answers to.
I am considering an MPP solar lv5048 but it looks like max high voltage cutoff for the unit is 60V. I want to have a 40 cell NiFe bank but bulk charging voltage on the bank is 66V. Is there a different inverter I need or a setting or something on the MPP unit that will allow it to handle a higher voltage without shutting down?
I want 230v split phase and plan to run output to a square D breaker box. It is my understanding that the MPP unit puts out 2 legs of 120V each that would allow me to run both 120V and 230V loads from the breaker box?
Can someone point me to a chart or something that shows the differences between all the 5000W 48V mpp inverter models?
