RoyPow S51160P Battery Wiring

Hello,
I've had a bit of run around with RoyPow about this and wanted some feed back.
They are saying the 160P-B golf cart batteries (48V) can't be wired in parallel.. Has anyone heard of this? What specific design reason would these batteries not allow parallel wiring?

I saw that someone else had a thread about this issue 3 years ago but no resolution was posted. Thanks for the in site. This is a battery bank for an electric propulsion system on a boat.
