9540 can be stand alone for a battery or can be for a battery-inverter pair. Depends on whether the batt (or really the BMS) can meet the 9540 requirements on its own or needs an inverter to control some "stuff".
It’s basically toilet paper for our concerns in DIY solar.9540A is a simpler test for thermal runaway.
Hi Rachel,it is 200A
Wonder how they compare to these...?So looks like the new eg4 indoor unit will be some competition, at $3431+shipping, once early bird discount is gone on the Riuxu

It is 200a continously output. The EG4 is the same 200a. 51.2v X 200a = roughly 10kWHi Rachel,
What is the continuous output rate? I'm pretty sure eg4's PowerPro is 10kw delivery.
Curious what the final price was all in with shipping.Wonder how they compare to these...?
Experience sharing - Buying a 51.2v 14.33KWH Wall mount battery pack from Shenzhen Basen Tech (US stock)
Hi, Just want to share the experience so far regarding buying a 14.33KWH Wall mount battery pack (BR-OW-LV 14.33KWH) from Shenzhen Basen Technology US stock. It comes with GRADE A REPT 280ah cells and 200 amps BMS. It also has wheels, bluetooth enabled and a LCD. The representative Carrier...diysolarforum.com
If I'm reading the post correctly under $150 / kwh for the 280Ah version.Curious what the final price was all in with shipping.
I was planning on waiting till summer to get a battery setup this size, but this price point has me questioning...If I'm reading the post correctly under $150 / kwh for the 280Ah version.
I just sent an inquiry to find out more.
not always some of us are DIY and still need permitting. Especially when setting a house up on vacant land. The battery only requires DC ESS listing and I don’t believe anybody has one on the market yet. Every six months I ask around for updates. I am skeptical that the batteries you buy today will be retroactively updated to DC ESS, thus allowing them to be used with a new inverter (not like anyone is going to catch you if you do a like for like swap).
It is a combination of BMS features/installation instructions on what a 1741 inverter will have to follow to maintain the DC ESS listing, so there are still a lot of unknowns.

Huh? I also DIY with permits. Which part of the post are you commenting on, my snark at 9540A? That won’t help you. 9540 is what is necessary.not always some of us are DIY and still need permitting. Especially when setting a house up on vacant land.
Their ownYes but WHICH inverter?
YesIt is 200a continously output. The EG4 is the same 200a. 51.2v X 200a = roughly 10kW
I was told they are expected to arrive in the US in about 6 weeks.Just out of curiosity, has anyone receive the battery discussed in this thread yet?
I've been going back and forth between buying some more dumb LiFePO4 batteries to expand capacity, or spending the big bucks to have some server rack batteries shipped from SigSolar in Texas. Then on a lark I went to see how much the Ruixu batteries were, realized their warehouse is less than 2 miles from my house, and immediately ordered this battery instead to save on shipping. Supposedly I'm to be contacted by Ruixu to schedule a pickup time, but haven't heard anything yet (it has only been 5 days). So I'm just curious if anyone has actually got their hands on this battery yet?

Solar Sovereign says "In Stock".Yes,the batteries will arrive in the USA in 6 weeks
1. Regarding shipping time: we will inform Solar Sovereign about the lead time. our batteries will arrive at U.S warehouse at the beginning of June.when customer check out, they will note this is a pre-order and need to wait some weeks to get the batteries. 2.Regarding certification: we already sent Lithi2-16 samples to SGS lab, they told us the testing time is about 3months for UL1973 & UL9540A.then we will combine our own brand inverter to do UL9540. 3.Currently, we don't want to display more information about our products online because there are too many people who may copy our products. We spent about a whole year developing this product, making many improvements, and striving for the best in every detail for lithi2-16. We don't want others to copy this, including our inverters. We have sent many customers real pictures and videos of lithi2-16, and at the same time, we have written an article about the Lithi2-16 on our website where everyone can see some small details about our development process.Solar Sovereign says "In Stock".

When I emailed them about that, they said:
"We get these directly from the manufacturer and they are in stock. If you order now, the lead time is roughly 1 week from order date. "
Not being honest lowers their credibility.
The Ruixu site is mum about stock status on all their products which makes me suspicious of any vendor. Every buyer wants to know when they will get the product and not telling them is either hiding something or your web store is lame about presenting useful information.
The complete absence of any youtube videos showing the actual Lithi2-16 is another clue they are still vaporware.
One thing I question is that the Ruixu rack batteries had a pluggable header with dry contact rapid shutdown inputs. This was useful in case the battery and the inverter did not get along with battery communications. But it appears this feature was removed on the Lithi2-16.
The user manual says, hopefully: "Rapid shut down function for North American market." but then never explains how to get that feature.
It appears that in order to get RSD features, you have to depend on the battery communications since there are no other obvious ways to do it. This could be limiting when it comes to which inverters will work with it and do RSD.
Also, the spec sheet says "UL1973/UL9540 pending". That will pose problems for code compliance until done. It could also mean early units might not be so marked and I don't know if they can retroactively mark them as compliant after the fact.
The user manual also says "Support a maximum of 96% DOD under off-grid and back-up application". So the nameplate capacity really isn't the capacity.
It looks like a very nice battery for a good price, but if you need something in this class, the EG4 units seem to be what you can get that is available now and with certs.

Useful to know.1. our batteries will arrive at U.S warehouse at the beginning of June.
3 months puts that about end of July, maybe beginning of August. My experience with NRTLs is that it can often take longer than they predict. Maybe SGS is better than most (can't be worse than UL!).2.Regarding certification: we already sent Lithi2-16 samples to SGS lab, they told us the testing time is about 3months for UL1973 & UL9540A.then we will combine our own brand inverter to do UL9540.
A battery box isn't exactly rocket science. Pretty much anybody can guess what is in there. There are no secrets here.3.Currently, we don't want to display more information about our products online because there are too many people who may copy our products.
