No communication needed between units? Apologize for my ignorance, but does that classify as AC coupling?

T timselectric If I can do it, you can do it. Joined Feb 5, 2022 Messages 19,079 Feb 12, 2024 #2 In theory, it would work. But it would make me nervous. If the 18kpv ever backfed the 6500, it would probably release the magic smoke.

You need a grid tie inverter for this, ideally 1741SA or newer Yes this is AC coupling. Grid tie -> 18kpv generator port is supported (the generator port is used bc it has a disconnect relay if happens)
