I got a got a weird question. I have the 2000w/240/2 phase inverter connected to 2x305w panels in series. When i connect the panels and turn on the inverter, voltage drops to 0. Turn the power off, voltage jumps to around 86v. Its almost like the inverter is killing the voltage. series or parallel it doesn't matter. Thoughts?

Panels
  • Rated Power (Pmax): 305W
  • Maximum Voltage (Vmp): 36.3 V
  • Maximum Current (Imp): 8.41 A
  • Open Circuit Voltage (Voc): 44.8 V
  • Short Circuit Current (Isc): 8.97 A
  • Maximum system voltage: 1000V (IEC) /600V (UL)
  • Max Fuse Rating: 15A
  • Dimensions: 76.93 × 38.7 × 1.57 in
  • Weight: 50.7 lbs

Double check all your connections. You can show voltage with a bad one that drops to nothing when the SCC attempts to draw current.

connection look good. Its a very basic setup at the moment. panels to cut off switch (outside) to cut off switch (inside) to inverter. I tested the volage at all stages.

as soon as turn on the inside cut off switch, voltage drops to zero.

Could you post photos of your two cut off switches and the connection to SCC?

I got it! The switch cable were backwards. I figured since it came from the factory like this it was good. Guess not
