Been watching Will P for a couple-three years on YT, really appreciate the honest non-sponsored and no “fan boy” reviews. Currently simply a wanna-be solar and vandweller enthusiast, someday maybe, maybe never but I like to learn. Plenty of camping and old rv experience, just not solar.

Thanks. Currently I am researching charging LIPO4 batteries for van use. Sounds like alternator charging is a bad idea, and a newer designed dc to dc charger at 20-40 amps output would be much more appropriate. I see alot of “drop in” YT videos on the van channels, I wonder if these prople have a clue about what dangers they face to their $4-8K systems by alternator charging... Thanks to Will for being so blunt about the topic that it forced me to start reading a lot about it.
