Is there a switch that is adjustable to come on at X voltage and off at Y voltage?

I want the switch to turn on at 53.7V and then off at 53.1V.

I guess this is sort of like a dump-load switch.

I'm sure there's multiple ways to do it but some charge controllers have a programmable dry contact that can be used to control a relay. The Midnite Classic comes to mind and and perhaps the Outback FlexMax as well.

The old classic Trace C40 can do it as well but only with potentiometers so I suspect you'd never get close to the accuracy you're wanting.

I don’t know of any off the shelf solutions, but this would be very doable with an Arduino, and unlike RPi’s these days, Arduino’s are still dirt cheap. There’s some detailed info on measuring voltage here: https://dronebotworkshop.com/dc-volt-current/
Add a relay and program a little logic (lots of resources online to help!) and you’d be good to go.

There are various voltage controlled relay boards available depending on the circuit control needed.

I think this is the opposite of what I want. ?

All I want to do is monitor the battery voltage, when it gets high, turn on my balancer, when it goes lower turn off the balancer.
Victron battery protect
I only saw 12/24 protectors, do they have 48v?

I can probably get this to happen. I have dorked around with an ardrino a few times. ?

yes

I know what you want now.... can't find it in 48v or is out of stock. :(

This (below) would work as it controls an independent spdt relay. The diagram shows closing a circuit to charge a low battery as the voltage is dropping. Would use the other terminal to close the circuit as the voltage increases. I have one and it works but mine is 12v.

This is one of those derp moments that happen now and again...

I forgot my balancers have a Bluetooth app. In the app I set the balancing to turn on and off when needed. ?‍♂️

Thanks for all the great ideas.
