A few months ago, I bought a $50 30 amp cord from Harbor Freight.
Cut off the female end, and wired it into my 18 Gen port. Plugged in my 8750 inverter generator.
Had a power outage and ran the Genny.
Fluctuating loads and it would bog Genny.
Ok. Went the correct route and got a chargeverter.
Today, went to the Depot to buy the female end of the cord, so I could hook genny up and test. $52. Da fudge?
Ok I'll just buy the cord at Depot. $150. Whut?
So ended up going to HF and buying another $50 cord.
Hooked it up to the Genny and chargeverter and worked great. Slowly ramped up the load, never bogged, chugged along nicely at 80 amps, 25 to load, 55 to batteries.
Off to Amazon or eBay to buy the end I need to fix the other cord.
