If the amperage you are going to use is not so high (+/- 30A)
(Not maximal possible usage but what you really use, as the 1000 watt 12v inverter might be rated for 80A, when you use max 350 watt....
I would take MC4 plugs.
Sure, they won't last that long, 50-75 connection minimal.
Easy to replace (only the plastic housing) and dirt cheap.
Also easy to disconnect, "water proof" and won't get loose if you pull the cord.
There are boxes to use in the garden for AC plug and contra. Extension cord stuff.
They seal off also just fine.
I don't think they are build to use more time then MC4...
If your cord isn't laying on the bottom, no water is touching it.
The cells themselves..
(Terminals) don't like to be submerged either.
