The starting point for me --- two 550w Renogy panels (which aren't mounted down yet). I've got two more of the Renogy panels on order and should arrive in a few weeks. I'm likely going to put some of those white stones underneath :-)
I do have it connected to the SHP but I also already also have a connection outside the house for my generator should all hell break loose. I haven't completely abandoned them but I have been working on my own DIY setup recently to include a victron 250/100 mppt as well as two 48v batteries.
Yes, I tried that (setting to what bms is saying) but then later (charging or depleting), it drifts and they go out of sync for sure where one would say 82% (bms) and victron shunt would say like 76%. I'll go ahead and charge up to 100% and reset sOC.
I plan to do something similar. I , too, have ecoflow but have 3 delta pro's and 2 extra batteries along with 2, 48v lipo4 rack batteries. My plan is to use my victron 250/100 on one string (approx 1kw) to charge up the 48v batteries, keep them topped off and when needed, to run an external...
Honestly, I have no clue what I'm doing nor what I've built ---- definitely no carpenter (work in the IT field). If I can do this, anyone can. The mounting poles have concrete and they are about 3 feet down. The only thing I'm grappling with right now (OCD kicking in) is whether or not I got...
Just in case I wasn't clear in any of my previous messages, the only a/c plug my delta pro was plugged into was the infinity cable going to the smart home panel and I wasn't charging nor do I plan to use it that way. I also had 2 Renogy 550w solar panels plugged in via XT60i. Those panels...
Have you been happy with your purchase of the sungold thus far? I, like you, have the Delta Pro and also run the Renogy 550w with great success so far. So far i have 4 renogy 550w panels but the Delta Pro is restricted to 150v and I'm feeling like it's becoming a limitation as my solar array...
Just came home to a house full of smoke... turns out my Ecoflow Delta Pro was blowing out all kinds of white smoke and holy smokes smells like electrical stuff burning. I've had mine connected to the same two renogy solar panels since I got it and it was working fine. i'm considering getting...
ok, thank you for the quick response. I have a charger right now but the charger I have is junk and i'm upgrading my system. I've thought about victron but currently running 12v system and moving to 48v system.
Yeah... these 550w are amazing and I'm really liking them. However, the limitation is the 150v max on the delta pro. I just recently purchased a victron 250/100 and learning about it and probably going to go ahead and wire it up to my new 51.2v batteries to keep them charged up. I just...
Roger that. Thank you for chiming in. Very helpful. BTW, I have my ecoflow delta pro (I have 5 of them --- 3 DP's and 2 EB's) and am sending this unit back and they have told me they will send me a refurbished one after they've done their analysis. Seems like they are standing behind...
Just an FYI, I have probably a similar setup where I use 48v battery to charge up my DP's and augment. I have a completely separate solar array dedicated to the 48v batteries approx 2400w. My 48v battery goes to a sun gold power 6000w inverter and I have a 120v socket from that inverter...
I have three strings running through conduit. My plan originally was to run 1 string to each ecoflow delta pro and the last strand to the Victron MPPT to keep the 48v batteries charged.
I can't help but think there has to be a way for me to quickly charge the Delta Pro's if I kept them...
Hi Everyone,
I have a Victron Smart Shunt 500 connected to my 48v batteries and it's showing me the voltage properly but the percentage of charge that it shows on the display is incorrect. I've checked all of my settings and they look correct to me but figured I'd ask someone more...
Update. I am re-doing my ground setup. First, it doesn't have enough slope/angle and I need it to be almost the same pitch/angle as the roof of the garage and i'm also making it a little higher off the ground since that's where the sun will hit it perfectly. Trial & error.... more to come :-)
First and foremost, thank you for the fast reply. I have the batteries in parallel (pos to pos and neg to neg) with the charger directly connected to the one of the batteries pos and neg. I use the victron smart shunt and it's showing both batteries charging up just fine --- slow but fine...
Your ecoflow had the smoke/burning issue too? Also, since I'm in the process of transitioning off the ecoflow stuff, I have the Victron 250/100 and want to ensure I am not going to trigger any potential issues. It looks like I can put all 4 of my Renogy 550w panels in series since they are...
mind sharing your setup in terms of the solar, mppt and such? I started out this journey with the Ecoflow Delta Pro but am starting to re-think my strategy and just build out my battery system and such. Thanks!
