Just to inform, after discussing with the vendor they capitulated and sent me the firmware and instructions. All inverters upgraded to the latest version and all now function as normal giving me a nice 16.8kw total. No changes to the cabling was required.
Certainly puts the fear of god into you when you read something like this. Thankfully he and his family are safe but almost certainly a life changing event. I read about an electronic engineer who had setup lifepo4 batteries from china in germany and house also destroyed but from an explosion...
I have EASun inverters and it shows wiring and configuration for 3 phase at the end of the manual as it does for single phase. I used the instructions to wire and configure single phase parallel. Program 28 to set the phase.
I have a similar issue but using a conversol axpert i-grid 5.6kw. I bought some 64 amp wifi breakers from aliexpress early on but have not set up as my (limited) understanding which may very well be wrong is that constant switching of the ac input can cause inrush/surges which quickly degrades...
If that was the case wouldnt it show up when I switched the battery cables from the new inverter with one of the others? No matter which of the 3 sets of cables I use in the 2 inverters that work in parallel the voltage reading on the display is the same whereas the new inverter always has a...
In depth technical discussion of different inverter bios with flowcharts. eg What causes the system to move between hybrid, solar/battery etc and what each of the settings do and how they impact operation.
@shavermcspud
These are not technical installation diagrams by any means and are to just demonstrate where the different systems sit to help frame my question for the forum; which was to ascertain why the vendor said it would damage the inverters which I didn't feel was explained clearly. I've...
What I have now is considered off grid design but with grid backup as below.
Effectively my proposed plan is to move the ac input from a direct connection to the meter to a breaker in the grid tie panel.
Thanks always helps to bounce ideas around.
No SOC management set and back to battery voltage is 57 so itll never trigger and same with to grid at 47. The spikes started when I setup parallel comms so I would surmise it is firmware differences between the two inverters.
I'm re-opening this as I think these have to be phantom readings.
I have 3 parallel inverters with a 40A breaker in each. To reach 58k at 230V would require an output current of 252A which is 84A each. As this was 8pm it is dark outside so little to no solar which means it could only come from...
I have two 5.6kw easun (IGrid SV-IV-5.6KW) inverters configured in parallel. On occasion solar assistant 'forgets' the slave unit and thus does not record the data for it such as solar kwh for the day whilst the inverters themselves continue to operate as normal.
To have solar assistant...
I manually switched off/on the ac input breaker during cheap rate elec for my 11kw inverter for around 6 months before it blew some caps which , according to my vendor, was due to inrush current when switching the breaker on without first switching the inverter off as part of the normal system...
Just to clarify I have an off grid inverter with the ac input connected to the grid for backup. I have 10 spare panels and rather than add them to the off grid inverter system I had the idea to disconnect the ac input of the off grid inverter. Then I would install a grid tie inverter connected...
Probably but the vendor support is extremely poor and am having difficulty getting any helpful response so for those in the UK I would suggest avoiding EASUN if you plan to run parallel inverters.
I have two "Voltronic":"InfiniSolar V x 2" also known as "IGrid SV-IV-5.6KW" from EASun. I have them in parallel config attached to pytes lithium batteries, solar, ac input attached to grid and the output to the breaker panel.
Every hour on the half hour the inverters start drawing power from...
HEllo,
I have two Axpert 5.6kw inverters setup in parallel, running for months now without issue. I added a third today, configured cables and menuitem 28 to PAL as per manual, and it goes straight to battery voltage fault error 83.
From left to right:
Inverter 1: Firmware 05606 (New...
I decided to disable my automation entirely and try the ac charging timer controls. I set the start to 00:00 and end to 04:00 and the inverter time to current minus 30 minutes. So when the inverter time hits 00:00 the actual time will be 00:30 which is when cheap rate begins and similarly for...
I'm working through similar issues after I added another inverter in parallel. I switch between solar/utility/battery and solar/battery/utility. In any event when I switch to solar/utility/battery it will charge for approx an hour then switch back. Also it takes forever to read/write to mqtt on...
Hope someone can help.
I'm struggling to get my head around nodered as , at least to me, its very unintuitive. Of course it may very well be that I'm a bit thick but in any event could someone please give me an example graphical flow and the node properties to do the following.
Flow 1:
Do...
As others, I recommend you get solarassistant and a usb to rs232 cable. The cable runs from the solarassistant unit to the pytes console and will provide comprehensive metrics for the battery array. Also with solarassistant it provides an MQTT server which you can use to integrate with other...
I forgot to add, if you have a raspberry pi lying around you can order up the image and download it today to install for $55.

You then just need a usb to rs232 cable from amazon...
When the ac input breaker connected to all 3 they do power on at exactly the same time in standby mode and the slaves that work flag error 83 which, according to the manual, means different voltage detected. I tried again today and inv1 shows 53V, inv2 53.1 and inv3 53.1 so I'm wondering if the...
