Thanks for confirming I'm on the right track, good to know before you start purchasing. I'm still mentally moving the location of the array and shed to look at combos that provide minimal voltage drop and don't cost the earth!
I was looking at USEI90 600V 1/0awg, seems good based on my numbers...
They pass through to the other side of the wood to hook up to the bus bars (instead of curling over the top)
The copper bar is due to drilling the pass through connectors out of line with the positive lug…
I don’t know, paying this every month for a service I’m not using. I may be better to put the money aside and if I need the grid back, I have cash for the reconnection. What if I remain grid free for 10 years.
Thanks for the info, I will consider a DC disconnect. Do you have a similar battery setup as I’m considering?
What capacitors are bled with the switch disconnect?
Hey, upon install (split phase parallel) i noticed some flickering on certain lights in our house. It could be where there are higher draws on the shared house electrical circuit on that light or maybe cheaper led/incompatible to solar... I went through MPP, sent logs etc and they advised...
Hey, could someone please give any advice on the correct T Fuse size and wire gauge for a split phase setup (LV6548). I will have 16 cells hooked up (still looking at reliable Aliexpress sources, so 16 * 3.2V * 280Ah = 14.3kWh. I will likely add another 2-3 16 cell sets batteries over time. So...
Hey, starting to get into the battery ordering/building/testing side of things.
I am ordering X32 Eve 280ah soon.
Can someone guide me in terms of what to purchase to test the capacity upon receipt?
I have seen videos on the cheap option circuit board with a fan attached to it. I’ve seen the...
Good news been running one pack for two days and no issues. I decided to top balance my other pack whilst waiting for fuses/breakers to arrive.
I found this under one cell/bus bar. Could anyone tell me the possible causes? And how to remedy before reassembling? (Can create a new post if...
The 6000W was at mid day. When it blew it was at around 500W (according to my emporia energy app).
I usually count to three and watch the display kick in on the inverters.
Low energy usage, no active charging. Very confused as the cause…
After a lot of searching for a Canadian provider I found these:-
https://victoryspring.ca/shop/compression/9-1208-21/
They are 2" long with a 3/8 ID for the rod. Based on a split 16s compression with X6 bolts I will be looking for 110lbs force per bolt which will be achieved at just under 0.50"...
thanks for the photos. For some reason I thought you had a pre charge and discharge (when disconnected) combo.
This will be going on my build definitely
I’m looking at this breaker to put in whilst problem solving. It has 6gauge terminals and I have 4/0 lugs. Would the best route be a dual bus bar to transition?

Have since discovered that the fans rpm is based on load/amps as opposed to the internal temp of the unit.
Has anyone piggybacked an external fan to the PWM wiring on one of the internal fans? I’m hoping this way as the internal fans ramp up, so would my external fan (and shut down).
Just a update for any one with similar issues. I finally got them to work by ensuring they were exactly 3v within each other and turning off the charge/discharge ports on both bms (before turning back on).
I am not sure if they will stop charging simultaneously if the 3v deviates again…
I may...
Could it be that it’s because I have no master/slave can communication between packs and the inverters?
There is an expensive esp32 board, but I don’t want to double down for it not to work…
Hey, so I currently have two LV6548’s in split phase powering my home with two 16s 280ah packs in parallel (off grid).
Within the home I have two large loads which I switch remotely as needed. They are a hot tub and electric water heater. Both consume around 5000ws. I tested the inrush surge...
