I have a few and they're all expensive.
First is my 96' F350. I've had it over 10 years now, and i have put waayyyyy too much work into it.
Right now I'm working on resealing a bunch of leaks, and replacing quite a few parts. Yesterday I finally got the engine back in the truck:
My other...
Definitely a poor connection. No other way to build heat, especially enough heat to melt plastic.
Good quality connections shouldn't get hot. Warm, yes, but not too hot to touch or anything.
Well, the service rep at SolArk called me Friday morning and apologized for taking so long with the diagnosing of the inverter. The engineers are still looking into it, but he offered for my troubles to actually exchange the 12k I currently have, for a 15k at no additional charge. He is putting...
@Supervstech you would be proud. I installed this new 24k BTU Cooper and Hunter unit in my office at work. I purged wirh nitrogen this time and held pressure at 300psi for an hour, then vacuumed and released. I didn't do nitrogen with my last install in my garage, but now I have the equipment...
Just my $0.02, but tilting/adjustable racking is only viable when you are limited on space, and can't fit more panels. More panels is always cheaper, if you can fit them.
Calendar aging is still happening. If you use the battery every day, they last 10-15 years. If you don't use the battery at all, they last 10-15 years.
Use them!
I thought some people might be interested in this. I saw an ad for it. This is the first ceiling cassette I have seen that fits between 16" Studs!

I really hate when websites have "SALE ENDS IN 10 MINUTES!!! ORDER NOW!!!" And then you refresh the page and the 10 minute timer starts over.
I've purposefully ordered from other places because of this. Go pound sand.
@robby, I agree with you, but at some point, no matter how many times you say it, it just ends up being wasted breath. These guys aren't going to change their minds with logic.
I see the same exact things getting repeated in a different format all over the place, at some point we all just have...
I mean even most people on this forum are probably against microinverters as well.
All my friends that get solar before they talk to me about it, always get sold on Microinverters, and they always end up rebuilding their system :ROFLMAO:
Hey all, now that I have sold my 5th wheel, and have a Motorhome that we use to go on trips to the desert and such, I needed an enclosed to haul my RZR And other gear around, and decided to do all of my solar equipment in the enclosed rather than trying to modify the motorhome itself. I also...
I happened to look at Solar Assistant just now and was alarmed when I saw this:
I asked the wife what the hell she was running to pull 19kW??? She said the Tesla is charging at 32a, the Dish Washer, the Clothes Washer and Drier are on, as well as the A/C running. Dear lord woman.
And yet, the...
If you never charge over 90%, then over time, the BMS is going to loose where 100% is actually at, and get worse the more time passes. So it might THINK its at 90%, but in reality its at 72.5%, 50%, or even 30%. It has no idea. Its guessing because you never give it the chance to calibrate it...
Well I'm not sure about damaging the SCC, but you definitely should NOT be using the BMS to cutoff every day. The BMS should be last resort, last line of defense. If the BMS is constantly having to disconnect, it will fail quicker. Also, if the BMS is constantly having to disconnect, then you...
I'm pretty sure the OSB is just deforming and putting all the pressure on the very edges of the cells, and not in the center, where actual clamping is required.
Wood is not suitable for this application, and im not sure why people keep using it?
It's true. 100% discharge with LiFePO4 is perfectly safe and will not degrade any faster than 50%.
If you want to argue and type EVERYTHING IN ALL CAPS, WE ARE GOING TO BE LESS RECEPTIVE TO HELPING YOU, AND YOUR CREDIBILITY WILL GO OUT THE WINDOW.
I just ditched their watchpower BS and went to SolarAssistant. Wayy better.
Customer service has always been excellent for me, from Ian at Watts247. Getting an answer from MPP in Taiwan is another story. Typically, a full 24hrs to get a response on 1 question.
What problem are you having?
I mean who cares if the guy creates an account just to stir something up? What's wrong with discussion.
I haven't seen anyone saying "I'm right, you're wrong, go pound sand" I've even learned a few things.
Good thread imo...
I'm in the same boat, I purchased a SolArk because of the basis of people on this forum, as well as my installer talked so highly of them, being the only Energy Storage inverter they will ever install.
On another note, I keep seeing people telling Will to change the poll, add this, or take that...
