I didn't have to read 1 more word after this. You kidding me?

  • Post in thread: What Mini-Split did you use, and Why?

Got it finished enough to test it. and it works great! Turned it on last night and was chillin in no time! I still have to put the expanding foam in the wall pass-through, and install the line-set cover, as well as proper wiring. My electrician friend is coming this weekend to add a circuit in...
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15k Current Capabilities

Alright the results are in! And they are pretty boring. Now I want to preface this. I am not looking at the far right "Batt" column except for the current, even though it makes the inverter look better per say. The number to look at is at the top, front and center, under INV. This is the number...
  • Post in thread: Post your Ground Mount Setup

A previous ground mount that I made out of laser cut aluminum bent into angles: And then added another 3kw with the same structure to the container. This has all since been taken down and transplanted to the roof of my new house

  • Post in thread: The "Meg" Build

Hey Y'all, I figure about time to start posting updates on my solar build. As a couple of you may know, I live full time in an RV with my wife, 2 kids (a 2 y/o and a 3 y/o) and an old Pitbull. The RV is a 2020 Grand Design Momentum 381M, we nick named it "The Meg" short for The Megaladon...
  • Post in thread: What Mini-Split did you use, and Why?

Well I went for it, taking the risk on just the cheapest unit i could find. $649 with a $35 coupon, for a 12k BTU unit with a 20SEER rating. Unfortunately they do not provide an EER rating, but for $614, I can live with it. Including the outdoor line cover, the wall mount and the R410a adapter...
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

So to ask my question again, is the warranty void if ANY battery without Comms is connected? For say a Daly BMS with no communications? Or is it only void if the damage is confirmed caused by the BMS with no Comms? Because if the screen burns out, and I send the unit back, but i never had a BMS...

  • Post in thread: Will Prowse violating the terms of his YouTube agreement

Yup, definitely not him. It's crazy how much people can't notice the subtle hints of impersonation or scams.
  • Post in thread: Docan Power US Warehouse LF280K Review

Hey all, I purchased 4x 280ah cells from Amy at Docan Power, I got 4x EVE LF280K cells from their US Based/Texas warehouse. I emailed Amy directly for most of the experience, docanpower22@gmail.com. She also has a Direct Work Email that is available: amy@docanpower.com. I did not probe for a ton...
  • Post in thread: Solar panel mounting on RV

Kind of late, maybe it will help someone else that is interested in doing something similar. This is how I did my unistrut/mounting bracket. This keeps the panel low and very easy to get to the mounting bolts. Yes, the unistrut is laying on the roof, but the roof isn't perfectly flat, and has...
  • Post in thread: What Mini-Split did you use, and Why?

Got started on the install. Its already bloody hot with temps over 100*. Wish I had started 2 weeks earlier when it was 65* outside. Sigh... I started with mounting the bracket. I had read of a few people wishing they had mounted their bracket to a piece of plywood first, to grab studs, and I...

  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

It also has the potential to be the worst battery ever because most people who are DIY'ing batteries are cheap bastards. Lol
  • Post in thread: The next thing? Inverter or Battery? All in 1?

Cheaper racking! Dear lord mounting solutions are more expensive than the solar panels they are holding!
  • Post in thread: So i did a thing...

3D Printed some mounts, and BAM. 500W inverter mounted into the top. I have no idea what im going to use it for. But its cool lol.
  • Post in thread: generator output too large

The generator is not going to FORCE power through the inverter. You can't have too big of a generator. Some inverter companies actually state in their manual that they recommend a Generator be 2-3x the inverters output. I would start looking at dealing with a different company.

300ah Cells, with a heated and Bluetooth capable VIP BMS.
  • Post in thread: Considering DIY Long distance from panels

While I never agree with personal attacks or being rude, there has been several things that have been thrown out in this thread that I believe is false and might cause newer people to become confused. Sometimes this happens with misinformation or even misunderstanding and it can lead to people...
  • Post in thread: Why does Victron recommend comically large diameter DC cables?

Same reason I use 4/0 on my Solark 12k that's only capable of 185a. Better to have too much cable and as little voltage drop as possible.
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15k Current Capabilities

Just wanted to bridge this off of the Midnight Solar thread to keep it tidier. I have stressed tested the Sol-Ark 12k at max capacity for a year or so, and it definitely had heat problems. Hence why I updated to the 15k. I have not had a heat related issue since the switch. Temps stay under...
  • Post in thread: Solar assistant: do you use it?

I have used it for over 18 months now. Excellent piece of equipment, and wouldn't consider a system without it. The last time I touched mine (physically) was when I moved into the house and I moved it from the trailer to the home. It's been plugged in for a year straight and the only reboots it...

Well when you neglect basic safety practices and then come on here bragging, we're not going to be too receptive.
  • Post in thread: Considering DIY Long distance from panels

Who the hell would run 48vDC that far? You are also not including what current you are using In your calculator.
