I have the Frigidaire FFRE0533S1 5000 BTU window unit. It has the lowest power consumption of any I could find.
The max it uses is 410 watts, it has a soft start and an ECO mode that doesn't run the fan when cycling, except for 20 seconds every 10 minutes.
When in cool mode and cycling the...
It's 24.4 SEER. I messaged that guy when he first put out that video and he couldn't or wouldn't give me any specifics regard power usage. Nor does he in the video.
Mitsubishi makes a 6000 BTU 33.1 SEER.
Model: MSZ-FS06NA MUZ-FS06NA
Never seen anyone with a Frankencooler that worked well...
As far as TV's go. You can reduce the watts they use by lowering the Backlight setting.
I have a 50" (5yr old / not a smart TV). Smart TV's use more power.
The Backlight can be set from 0-20.
At 20 it uses 57.1 watts.
15 - 47.9 watts
10 - 38.8 watts
8 - 35.1 watts
6 - 31.5 watts
5 or below...
Trying to run a 13.5K AC on solar is nuts. The wattage it uses is probably around 1500.
My previous post about a 5K window unit was just to show an option for something more reasonable on wattage.
The OP would probably need 2 of them for his trailer. Also if he could section off his trailer...
I was looking at the Mitsubishi MZ-FH06NA 6K BTU 33.1 SEER

They sent me the below file. But it's above my head.

You can heat weld the seams of TPO.
While those that do it professionally use expensive heat guns. Pretty sure a cheap one with the proper fitting will work fine.
The smallest I have seen is 6K BTU mini-splits and 33.1 is the highest SEER.
But I haven't been looking recently.

Yeah, will be getting a jumper. The charger has 2A, 4A, and 8A settings. I changed all my lights out to low-watt LED. Which reduced consumption 50+ watts, so 4A shouldn't be an issue. I think it will work at 8A. Guess I'll find out. If 8A is too much, I could buy 2 of them and run one at 4A and...
He recently put out a second video as well. I commented on the second video asking for details about the actual power consumption that he is seeing. He never responded.
My gripe about the videos is he never talks about the temp the unit is set to and amps or watts used based on ambient temp. I...
It says it's 490 watts / 4.5 amps. That's all I really wanted to know. I have a frigidaire that is 410 / 3.8, which is the lowest that I could find anywhere.
Don't have tools to balance. At $499 / 280 ah, do you even want to bother? Cells plus shipping / BMS and tools will easily be over $499. Even if you purchased multiple batteries, the cost seems minor over the cost of building.
Just asking for the average person that's not looking to buy tools...
Has BMS / 5 years.

$265 each + shipping.
Shipping to Miami port is $285 for up to 500 kg (30 batteries)
This guy has an Ameri-lite 25 ft bunkhouse trailer and uses 2 of the Frigidaire FFRE0533S1 5000 BTU window units.
However, a mini-split may be more efficient and something I would look into.
Did you end up purchasing?
I was originally considering getting (2) trina 410 watt panels and making a rack for my SUV where the bottom panel would slide out and both panels tilt. I'm now thinking of getting (4) of the 200 watt / 24 volt rich solar panels. There slightly larger than what I...
