I also was thinking on how it can be time related. The only thing i can think about is that your BMS serial number is bounded to the phone application. And that code is generated for your application (if it's on the phone, it should have access to internet). So maybe it kind of your applications...

I solve this problem. They call have this CAN/RS port. That port are preprogrammed from factory. You only can have one of them. BUT.... there is GPS port and it ALWAYS in RS mode :) (except you have to buy adapter ±10USD). So so you can order CAN version, but also have RS :)

For the garage i have very basic inverter, that does not have smart features. It's quite old, modified wave 5000W peak, 2500W inverter. It's have auto off when battery low, but that's fixed, i cannon change it, and it does not fit for me, as it will turn off when battery will be almost empty...
