Victron 250/100 - how to connect it to the Victron Cerbo GX

The ve.can allows for daisy chaining a series of sccs together, if you are only going to have one or two then ve direct should be fine.

Ve.bus uses standard Ethernet cable so if you have a spare one of those could use that instead of a new ve.direct cable

You'll need to use the ve.can Terminator that came with the GX on the empty ve.bus port if you do use that connection.

Just got mine today and doesn't detect any solar input.  Measure 139vdc before I connect PV, then it goes to zero volts when I connect. See a slight spark on PV wire. Unit sees battery and firmware was updated.

Disconnected older BougeRV solar charger, connected Bluetti and nada.

Definitely very strange. Did you get it working?

That stinks but saw you are getting a replacement. Good luck. I love my 250/100 but wished I had gone with the 450/100
It's hard to justify paying double the price for the higher voltage capability and other additional features. It does look like you need to go to three strings to get the most of the 250/100 if you have ~40V 400W panels. Before the non RS price reduction it wasn't such a big jump to get to to the rs line.

Most / all of my panels are almost 50voc each. Fun stuff.
