Ah, in that case do you know engineering?
I worked for many years at Flextronics.
Michael Marks (Harvard MBA) organized the investors who put together the new incarnation (after previous through-hole board stuffing company), grew it mostly through mergers and acquiring factories to $20B. Bought the Warriors. "Retired" to run a VC.
But anyway, "Race to the Bottom" isn't he only way to run a company.
With rising utility rates LG may get away with such high priced equipment, but the numbers aren't compelling.
I would expect only a small market for PV/battery systems that aren't price competitive.
At this time, the turn-key GT PV market is priced around 3x to 6x what hardware costs.
Utility scale PV is much closer to hardware costs.
There ought to be cost-effective systems for home users. But the regulatory agencies will do their best to torpedo the market, protect the utilities.
