Luyuan battery case

This is separate? and extra cost?
I just ordered a box and I didnt know that it didnt have any means of compression.
He is ordering a new inner compression panel because it has custom mounting for the BMS he is changing to. If you ordered a box it is custom to the BMS you are using.

I think all of Amy's metal boxes have a plate inside the case for some compression (or at least to hold the batteries tight).
Just ask Amy in the chat. She is pretty good about sending pictures.

Be careful. Before you know it you'll want the 4.3" display which... means getting the new JK bms.. and then you might as well get the new terminal 304A cells... and then...

The box I ordered came with the front panel and compression panel for the old JK bms.
I decided to use one box for the new inverter BMS so I had to pay $19 for new panels.
The new front panel has all of the holes for the closed loop cables. The inner compression panel has mounting for the inverter BMS.

Truth. I'm already considering changing BMS to these JKs with display just because

Mine came with the compression panel, if you can call it that with 4 inner threaded pegs sticking out. There 4 screws holding up a plate of the separator material. One could probably attached to this plate but I decided to just cut a piece of 14 ga sheet metal and will mount my BMS using 3mm standoffs which screw into the backside of the older JK BMS's. This plate will also get a terminal block for the BMS leads and if there is room the Class T gets mounted on the plate or on the side wall.

I have the 4.3" screen and it fits well. The on/off switch is located above that.

If I had to do it over again, I would have probably ordered the BMS and screens from Amy with the boxes. I was buying 6 JK's and instead bought them from Hankor.

From what I understand JK is still doing hardware updates to the inverter BMS models? Still baking in the oven?

That’s why I decided against the inverter model, I order 22 for these projects. I got four spare.

That is not true.
Perhaps mine is a later version? This is what I attached screen to:

Nice idea. I ended up screwing a piece of polycarbonate sheet to the 4 screw mounts and used high end velcro from McMaster-Carr to mount the JK BMS to the sheet. Has been holding well. It was vertically positioned. The lead wires towards the bottom of the case and the BMS leads at the top. This way all the BMS leads nicely met the battery terminals.

The ones I have that don't work were bought more than 3 years ago. Anything bought in the last couple years will probably work with the screen / on switch.

new JK shows plug and socket needed for display / on button.

Yes, they are continually improving the firmware / software & adding the protocol stacks for other inverters. Not finished ? Sure but now far more mature that 5 months ago and improving. I bought them because they can be Flash Upgraded (not that many BMS' allow for that) to stay up to date & current. Even better now, because moe vendors have them and "price gouging" has been dampened down... NOTE That Luyuan never had a $250+ price tag either, unlike some .

The 4.3 Display for the older model of BMS has slightly different wiring, they can't be interchanged. Even the On/Off switch is different (2 wire instead of 4 due to no status light). I'm sure the display's are still available. The even older versions may not have the plug for the display. There was 3 versions of the older BMS in the black casing, so a bit of a bugger.

Just curious (I don't mean to sound impatient) how long does it usually take Amy to respond to email? I filled out the inquiry form on her site yesterday. I'm not really in a rush, but I also know they'll take time to get here, and the intention was to finally get this all running this spring/summer.

1) It's a labour holiday over there May-01-05.
2) The time difference is a bugger too. 08:30 here = 20:30 there (I'm in EST) I found the fastest response is via the Alibaba Messenger App in general.

I talk to her on Alibaba chat. Occasionally there is a delay. Usually she's quick to reply.

I'm not sure if Amy takes a day off. I don't think she ever took more than 24 hours to respond to me in chat.

In the chat is says her local time. Every response has been during regular business hours her time.

Use the chat link at the bottom of the page: https://szluyuan.en.alibaba.com
I can only chat on the desktop version of the page. In mobile version on an Andriod it keep wanting me to open on the app, which I am not downloading.
