Hello to everyone and thanks to this forum for existing. .

I have two 100watt solar panels connected in parallel 20200622_140338.jpg

Then at the end of connector I have another parallel connector in sense splitting the input into two. 20200622_140352.jpg

First: is this safe to connect to 2 solar generators that are similar in solar input? Or will this throw off something by wiring it like this?. 20200622_140401.jpg
Secondly: how will this affect the charging? Is it safe to assume the power is equally spit or is feed to the each side as needed. For example, Two solar generators hooked up, both charging at same rate? Then once 1 is fully charged will all that solar input be put into the other bank or still only half?
Sorry for confusing questions. And thanks in advance. I can provide more info if needed.

What solar generators are you using?
Link?
Specs? Max input voltage and amps?
Are they the same?

Why not just connect one 100 watt panel to each solar generator?

Using the allpowers 372wh I got for pretty cheap.

Anderson plug 12v-22v 3.2 amps max

Are they the same?
Yes they they same. How would it differ if they were 2 different type?

Why not just connect one 100 watt panel to each solar panel?

It's for a shed/greenhouse and were going to get different loads at different times. I have them hook in parallel hoping for max input in low sunlight/cloudy days. I was also hoping it would put all its power into 1 bank if the other is fully charged but still connected.(using the full potential of the 200w). I also realize the solar generator only takes in about 60w through solar, hence why I want to run 2 and not waste the potential power from 200w panels.

Thanks again,
FATBOY

You have the panels and 2 solar generators so try it out.
Do the Allpower units have an meter that shows charging watts?
Charging watts to 1 unit is 60 watts with one 100 watt panel.
What are the charging watts to 1 unit with 2 100 watt panels connected in parallel?
Is it still 60 watts?
Unit only has 22 volt open circuit and 3 amps max input.

Yes in parallel I still only get 60 watts in. That's through the displayed meter(basic), havent tested with seperate device. Same reading through the bluetooth app. But even in low sun I'm getting 60watts while parallel.

And yes I will have to experiment and just try it. I wanted to ask first before I destroy my solar generators or panels. . Was hoping someone's tried it or would know if something will blow.

Challenge accepted. I have two Jackery 240s that I'm discharging right now so I can try it out, probably tomorrow. Where do I send the bill if they blow up? ;)

Ahahahhaha right. That's what I'm saying . .I guess will be finding out soon enough . ??

I have three Rockpals 300 daisy chained together to my solar panels and nothing has blown up yet. I would say that you are safe in that situation. As far as the efficiency then I am not sure.

Thanks for the info. How many panels do you have connected to them? And does it take forever to charge?
I will do some testing as far as how they will charge hopefully this weekend . If not this weekend, next week.

Two 100 watt monocrystalline panels wired in parallel. It doesn't take long to charge. Charging roughly takes about three hours to charge up on all units. Then again I am not charging from when it is completely empty which is 9.5 volts. Usually will be at 10.5 volts at the lowest and recharge it back up.

While their is enough sun to effectively overpanel the needs of both units i would expect them to charge at max rate in paralell just fine, once the sun starts to drop is where it would get interesting as i would expect a pair of MPPT controllers to start fighting to maintain their own power point (ie: one unit starts pulling more amps so the other unit readjusts its load which then makes the first one readjust and it becomes a vicious cycle) i would not think it would cause any damage but it could affect your efficiency.

What are your thoughts?
