If I already have a BMV 712 with 500amp shunt, what's the correct practice to implement a chargery bms8-600amp setup? Two shunts in series?

16 x 280ah cells and a chargery 600amps just shipped today.

12v x 1120ah (16x280ah 3.2v cells) and a chargery 600amp BMS just got shipped today. Also scores 2 more solar panels that are identical to my current ones. So I'll be 5p on each 150/60 charger.

Correct, I run 4/0 cable to a 400a fuse and a 600amp switch

Most usage I have personally slammed at the battery/inverter setup is about 170amps on each inverter. that was 1 ac per inverter and other normal things like a tv. My trailer idles around 170watts total draw, with a router, hotspot, and blink cameras.

I'm vested in a 12v system at this point.

I currently use (4) 138ah valence xp u27-12xp in a parallel configuration. I'm just growing out of them, and at $350 a piece I figured I could get double the ah for just %55 more, not accounting for BMS. 280ah cells @ $137 a piece with shipping is about $548.

I have (2) 12v/3000va victron inverters so max draw they could each hit is roughly 220a or 440a combined.

I run 2 victron 12/3000 victrons on my 50a toyhauler

What BMS would yall run if you ran 4s4p of these 280ahs? (12 volt system, 1120ah)

You have a few choices. Run a large inverter (or two in parallel) with a split phase or run two inverters, one for each 50amp leg (theres two hot legs "phases") in a 50amp trailer. You could also do a single inverter and kick out a 30amp single phase plug, then use a 50 to 30amp adapter and...

If you had (10) 230w solar panels (48.7 voc / 5.99 isc) how would you configure them in regards to victron smart charge controllers feeding a 12v battery bank. A: 5 groups of 2 series, and (5) 100/50 victrons $1619 total. Most hurt by shading losses, a lot of wiring B: 2 groups of 5 series...

If the used solar panels you were looking at buying had mc3 connections, how would YOU make extensions to get to the junction box; A: crimp the correct mc3 ends on the new wire B: buy mc3 to mc4 adapters then crimp mc4 on new wire C: cut the mc3 ends off and crimp.mc4 ends on panel and new wire

Works fine for me. And one less device in my RV.
