Aurora is a Canadian based generator and genset retailer. That generator looks like it's a Mecc Alte product

Why not buy a generator that runs at 1,800 rpm?

Also, I'd ask if the generator is designed to withstand sideloads when belt-driven.

If you're in the US you may want to shop at a US retailer.

I have a 1,800 rpm Marathon 7kW generator with a Perkins diesel direct drive that's been drop dead reliable for 18K hours.

My Brother has a 20KW Aurora Genny. It is diesel and 1800rpm. I think the power plant is a perkins. easy to service. Uses at his off grid cottage. I think the only complaint he had was a small fuel tank. May be 15gallons or so. He now has a 200 gallon furnace oil tank next to it and can refuel using a small transfer pump. The plan is to pipe it into the genny sometime.
