Hi All
Making a dolly solar cart like Will’s
This is more of a mechanical fastener question.

I don’t want to run my panel board to the bottom of the dolly as it will take up depth that the battery needs on the bottom plate.

If I use just regular half pipe clamps that will fasten the board to the vertical round sides but nothing is holding the board up, it will try to slide down towards the floor. Trying to think of a way to fasten to hold the full load of the inverter on the front side. Maybe there is something that I can hook over the flat black metal cross bar and set the bottom of the board on it also? I know I’m being a perfectionist and ridiculous.

To custom make clamps, You can buy metal rod and cut and bend then take a tap and die to thread it. Steel can be hard to bend, aluminum with a torch is easier.

You can drill through a cross brace for a screw and bolt.

I think you would be better welding.

I have a dolly for a portable solar generator build and figuring how to cut and then weld it. I will be teaching myself to weld.
