Is it possible to use one shunt with two battery monitors ?
Why or why not ?
Hope to get technical answers, not just reference to mfgr text saying yes or no.

I have 2 battery monitors connected to one shunt. One monitors current going into the battery, and the other monitors current leaving the battery.

When I read your posts I hear Nick Nolte in my mind's ear.

It's a still from an animated GIF. I thought the movement might be distracting and possibly induce seizures.

Looks like the animation doesn't work here anyway, so all that work for nothing...

The monitors are essentially voltage meters and loggers. They measure the voltage drop across the shunt, and can figure the current from that, multiplied by the battery voltage gives power, and power over time gives KwH. Voltmeters are high impedance, and don't load the shunt down at all, so no problem hooking 2 (or even 3 or more) across the shunt.

Thanks all. Very quick response with explanation !

I run a Chargery BMS8T as well as my Bogart battery management system on one shunt.
